Best WooCommerce Themes for WordPress in 2015

I remember the first years of WooCommerce: Everyone was thinking “Yeah, WordPress is a cool CMS and all, but can it really handle e-commerce?”. Back then, Magento and OpenCart were the two belles of the e-commerce ball, and considering WordPress as an e-commerce platform was, well, not so popular.

WooCommerce was not the first plugin that tried to turn WordPress into an e-commerce platform, but we all have to admit that it was the one that made WordPress a big competitor among other e-commerce platforms. And in this article, we’re going to check out 5 of the best WooCommerce 2015 WordPress themes.

Bronx – Responsive WooCommerce Theme (Premium)

Let’s start off with one of our own themes at FuelThemes: Bronx!

Bronx is a clean-cut WordPress themes, specially designed for apparel shops. It includes all the cool features like custom page layouts with Visual Composer, a sleek slider with the help of Slider Revolution, and a very detailed customization screen. It’s WPML-ready, meaning that you’ll be able to use WPML to create a multi-lingual e-commerce website with the option of currency switching as well.

Be sure to check out the demo website and get a grip of its awesomeness before you buy the theme.

SmartShop Lite – Responsive WordPress Theme (Free & Premium)

SmartShop Lite is a free WooCommerce theme from IdeaBox Themes, which also has a premium version. It supports both WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads, and has a responsive design that adapts to any device. The premium version has a lot more to offer like boxed & full-width layouts, unlimited color schemes and premium slider & gallery plugins.

MediaCenter – Electronics Store WooCommerce Theme (Premium)

Opening an electronics store on the web? The MediaCenter theme has this classic “e-commerce electronics shop” design that will fit your needs. And it’s packed with great options like live search, wishlist creation, video guides and more.

Socute – Multi-Purpose E-Commerce Theme (Free & Premium)

Socute is another free WooCommerce theme with a premium version. The free version alone has some nice features like product comparisons, mega menus and product filtering; and the premium theme has even more, like a copy of Slider Revolution, customizable 404 error pages and a customazible contact form.

Mega Shop – WooCommerce Responsive Theme (Premium)

Granted, Mega Shop’s design isn’t really ground-breaking, but it’s one of the cleanest designs you can see in a WooCommerce-ready WordPress theme. It too has WPML support, but it also has Google rich snippets, five pre-defined layouts and a basic product filter. The author says that it’s also optimized for speed and search engines, so that’s a plus.

There’s no denying that, over the course of years, WordPress has become a major player among e-commerce platforms. And of course, plugins like Exchange, Easy Digital Downloads and WooCommerce play the biggest role on this–which also proves the point once again that WordPress gets its power from its extensibility.
