Here we are, with another month full of WordPress news, opinions, tools and guides! This month was packed with WordPress posts, with over 100 links to choose from. Luckily, I’m a good curator (#ShamelessSelfPlug) and created a neat list for you.

WordPress News
WordPress 4.7 is just around the corner! Here’s what happened about 4.7 this month:
- WordPress 4.7 Beta 2, Beta 3, Beta 4 and even the Release Candidate versions are out!
- Here’s a rundown of the features list (with screenshots!) of WordPress 4.7, by WP Beginner.
- Nice new stuff included in 4.7, like a CSS editor, Multisite improvements, removal of alt text fallbacks (for accessibility), visible edit buttons in the Customizer, and PDF previews.
In other news, WordCamp US will be held in Nashville, Tennessee in 2017 and 2018. Lucky city.
And in this year’s WordCamp (which will be held in Philadelphia), you can watch it online for free!
For plugin developers, the WordPress Plugin Team published revamped, detailed plugin development guidelines.
For theme developers (in WordPress.org), it’s now allowed to have a “starter content” in free themes.
On November 12, the 2nd Global WordPress Translation Day happened. 780 translators worked tirelessly to improve 133 locales. Good job, everyone!
WordPress.org is public-beta-testing their new plugin directory design. Don’t forget to check it out.

Even though it slows down your website (just a little bit), you gotta love Jetpack. Here’s 10 modules that you might have missed.
This month, we listed 9 Black Friday themes. Black Friday is over now, but the themes are still awesome!
Incremental backups are a good way to have backups with smaller storage space. WP Time Capsule handles that for you, for free.
Another list we made was about sports themes for WordPress. Got some nice designs there.
You know what would be awesome? Searching for free stock photos within the WordPress post editor. Oh wait, they already did that.
